Appointment to the Hospital Authority

The Government today (December 5) announced the reappointment of 10 incumbent members of the Hospital Authority.

Mrs Eleanor Ling Lee Ching-man, Ms Eliza Chan Ching-har, Ms Iris Chan Sui-ching, Mr Lo Chung-hing, Professor Thomas Wong Kwok-shing, Mr Anthony Wu Ting-yuk, Mr Paul Yu Shiu-tin, Dr Lily Chiang and Dr Anthony Ho Yiu-wah had been reappointed for a period of two years, while Mrs Mong Ko Mei-yee had been reappointed for a period of one year. The reappointments took effect from December 1, 2003.

The Government also announced the appointment of Dr Loretta Yam Yin-chun as a member of the Hospital Authority for a period of two years from December 1, 2003. Dr Yam is Chief of Service (Medicine) of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. 

The Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food, Dr Yeoh Eng-kiong, thanked Mr Lee Jark-pui, Dr James Hwang Shu-tak and Ms Scarlett Pong Oi-lan for their advice and contribution to the Hospital Authority. They retired from the Board on December 1, 2003.

The Hospital Authority comprises a chairman, 20 non-official members, three public officers and one principal officer from the Hospital Authority. The new membership list of the Hospital Authority as from December 1, 2003 is as follows:
