SHWF to visit Guangzhou
The Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food, Dr York Chow, will lead a delegation
to Guangzhou on Wednesday (April 27) to call on relevant government departments
there to further strengthen ties with them.
Members of the delegation include the Director of Social Welfare, Mr Paul Tang;
Deputy Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food, Miss Susie Ho; Consultant of the
Centre for Health Protection of Department of Health, Dr Thomas Tsang, and
Assistant Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene, Dr Thomas Chung.
While in Guangzhou, Dr Chow will call on the senior officials of the Guangdong
Province. He will meet with the officials of the Department of Health, the
Department of Civil Affairs and the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau
of the Guangdong Province to discuss issues of mutual concern.
During his stay in Guangdong, Dr Chow will also visit the Guangdong Provincial
People's Hospital, an elderly hostel, a registered chicken farm which supplies
to Hong Kong and a processing plant of chilled chickens.
Dr Chow will return to Hong Kong in the evening of April 29.
