Public invited to consultation sessions on future health care service delivery model

Members of the public are invited to attend consultation sessions on August 17 and 18 to express their views on the future service delivery model for Hong Kong's health care system.


The Health and Medical Development Advisory Committee (HMDAC) had issued a discussion paper entitled "Building a Healthy Tomorrow". The paper seeks to set out the views of the committee on the future service delivery model for Hong Kong�� s health care system with a view to building a sustainable system that is accessible and affordable by every member of the community.


The Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food, Dr York Chow and members of the HMDAC will attend the two public consultation sessions to collect public views and answer public enquiries.


The first session will be held at 10.30am on August 17 (Wednesday) at Wei Hing Theatre, 6/F, Amenities Building, City University of Hong Kong, Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon Tong.


The second session will be held at 2.30pm on August 18 (Thursday) at Leighton Hill Community, 133 Wong Nai Chung Road, Hong Kong.


The discussion paper is obtainable from District Offices, public hospitals and clinics, Maternal and Child Health Centres, Elderly Health Centres and Woman Health Centres. It can also be downloaded from http://www.hwfb.gov.hk/hmdac/.
