Updates on freshwater fish test results

Results of eight more samples of freshwater fish were available today (August 25). All of them were found to be free of malachite green, a spokesman for Health, Welfare and Food Bureau said.

"This is the third consecutive day that no malachite green is detected in freshwater fish samples tested by the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region," the spokesman added.

As at today, the accumulative number of freshwater fish samples taken for testing of malachite green since August 20 was 62, with 13 samples were found to be positive.
