Updates on freshwater fish test results

Results of 19 samples of freshwater fish were available today (August 27). Two imported samples were found to contain slight amount of malachite green, a spokesman for the Health, Welfare and Food Bureau said.

The Government had notified the Mainland authorities of the test results.

As at today, the accumulative number of freshwater fish samples taken for testing of malachite green since August 20 was 85, with 15 samples were found to be positive.
