SHWF unable to attend WHO Regional Committee meeting

The Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food, Dr York Chow, was unable to attend the 56th session of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Committee for the Western Pacific scheduled for September 19 in New Caledonia because of influenza. He has returned to Hong Kong today (September 18).

Hong Kong will be represented by the Director of Health, Dr Lam Ping-yan, in the WHO Regional Committee meeting.
