International Festival of Inclusive Arts A-Mazing Carnival (with photos)
The following is issued on behalf of the International Festival of Inclusive
Arts:
People going to the A-Mazing Carnival of the International Festival of Inclusive
Arts (IFIA) on Sunday (December 10) from 2pm to 5pm at the Plaza, Kwai Tsing
Theatre, will enjoy improvisational performances dedicated by more than 20 local
and overseas groups of roving artists participating in IFIA, including Russian
deaf theatre group TOYS Theater and Hong Kong Theatre of the Deaf.They will
dance, sing and have fun with friends on the spot in Arts for Everyone Marathon!
Visitors will also experience the fun of arts through their five senses in the
Tunnel of Sensibility. This large-scale outdoor maze installation for multi
senses allows people to not only see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
but also touch with their hands and feel with their heart. The carnival is free
admission and open to the public.
Organised by the Health, Welfare and Food Bureau and the Arts with the Disabled
Association Hong Kong, the IFIA is held from December 2 to 10. Through diverse
programmes ranging from performances, exhibitions, symposium, workshops to
carnival, the festival aims at providing an opportunity for participation in
arts by people with and without disabilities, and promoting an inclusive
society.
