HWFB responds to health care financing proposals by Bauhinia Foundation

The Health, Welfare and Food Bureau welcomed various sectors of the community, including the Bauhinia Foundation Research Centre, to put forward proposals on health care financing actively. The administration would take into consideration different opinions expressed on this important subject.

"We are now carefully studying the report and recommendations made by the Bauhinia Foundation Research Centre," the bureau's spokesman said today (June 6).

Since launching public consultation on the discussion paper on the future service delivery model for health care system by the Health and Medical Development Advisory Committee in 2005, the Health, Welfare and Food Bureau has been conducting studies on health care reform and financing arrangements. A public consultation is planned to be launched in the later half of this year.
