< Back

The Food and Health Bureau (FHB) will hold a briefing on February 16 (Tuesday) to introduce the Government's proposal to develop a Chinese medicine hospital at a reserved site in Tseung Kwan O. The briefing aims to provide more details and information on the proposal to interested parties.

"With a view to gauging the concerns and views of the market on the Chinese medicine hospital, the Government has specially invited non-profit-making organisations which are interested in developing and operating the Chinese medicine hospital to submit expression of interest (EOI) covering various areas, including the management structure, manpower arrangements, financing model, implementation time frame, services and facilities of the hospital," a spokesman for the FHB said today (January 29).

Non-profit-making organisations and people who are interested in the proposal are welcome to attend the briefing. Representatives of the FHB, the Department of Health and the Hospital Authority will brief the attendees on the proposal for developing the Chinese medicine hospital, including its background and basic requirements, as well as the considerations and principles on the submission of EOI, followed by a question-and-answer session. The briefing will be conducted in Cantonese.

The briefing will be held at the Auditorium, G/F, Central Government Offices, 2 Tim Mei Avenue, Tamar, from 10am to noon on February 16. People who are interested to join the briefing can call 3904 9147 or email cmdc@dh.gov.hk at or before noon on February 15 for prior registration.

In addition, details of the EOI requirements and relevant information are available at the FHB's website (www.fhb.gov.hk/en/eoi). Interested non-profit-making organisations should submit to the FHB the EOI in Chinese or English or both in accordance with the instructions given in the EOI document before 5pm (Hong Kong time) on May 16, 2016.
