A new feature of this call is the adoption of thematic priorities so as to better target health promotion activities.

Higher funding priorities will be accorded to the following areas:

• tobacco control;
• nutrition and physical activity;
• injury prevention (traffic and occupational);
• communicable diseases; and
• poisoning (food and drug).

Applications which fall outside the above priorities will still be considered, although they will have a lower funding preference. The closing date of applications is July 31, 2006.
