Confidentiality and Data Protection

The Research Council, Grant Review Board, Grant Review Board Executive and Research Fund Secretariat abide by internationally recognised standards of personal information in medical research and comply with the local requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. The Code of Practice on Data Confidentiality and the Use of Data for Medical Research (PDF file) is a reference guideline for principal applicant and administering institution. It is the principal applicant and administering institution's responsibility to ensure that any conditions relating to data protection in Hong Kong are observed.
