About HHSRF
About
HHSRF Welcome to the Homepage
of the Health and Health Services Research Fund. Research should be
regarded as an essential component of the health service. Health research
provides the impetus for health gain to be made. The Health and Health
Services Research Fund (HHSRF) was established with the aim of maximising
population health, improve the quality of life, and enhancing the standard
and cost-effectiveness of the health system through the generation of
new knowledge in areas of human health and health services. HHSRF operates
a focused research agenda in which thematic priorities are developed in
partnership with stakeholders to guide the direction of research and decision
on funds allocation. HHSRF is managed by
a Research Council, advised by a Grant Review Board and a panel of referees.
All grant applications undergo a two tier peer-review process to ensure
scientific rigour and standards. The Secretariat supports both the Research
Council and the Grant Review Board. All grant applications
meeting the thematic priorities are welcome. I hope you will find the
resources within this website helpful. If you have any comments, we will
be pleased to receive them at rfs@fhb.gov.hk.
