SFH responds to HA's proposed mechanism on handling of clinical incidents
The Secretary for Food and Health, Dr York Chow, said today (September 18)
that the Hospital Authority (HA) had submitted to him preliminary proposals
in connection with a new mechanism for prevention and handling of clinical
incidents.
"I hope the Hospital Authority will formulate concrete measures as soon as
possible after consultations at HA Board and with staff to deal with
clinical incidents more effectively in future.
"I also hope that hospital staff uphold professionalism, perform their
duties and handle relations with patients in a caring and honest manner.
Their devotion and efforts would be appreciated by the patients and the
public," Dr Chow said.
