Appointments to the Hospital Authority

The Government announced today (March 27) the appointment of Mrs Gloria Ng Wong Yee-man and the re-appointment of Mr Vincent Fang Kang to the Hospital Authority for a period of two years with effect from April 1, 2002.

Mrs Gloria Ng is a businesswoman and has been active in public and community services. She was a member of the Regional Advisory Committee of the Hospital Authority from 1997 to 1999, and served as a member of the Hospital Governing Committee of the North District Hospital during 1999-2001. 

Secretary for Health and Welfare, Dr E K Yeoh, thanked the retiring member, Mr Cheng Yiu-tong, for his advice and contributions to the Hospital Authority in the past two years.

The Hospital Authority, as from April 1, 2002, will comprise a chairman, 21 non-official members, three public officers and one principal officer from the Hospital Authority. The new membership list is as follows:
