Taro and Black Glutinous Rice Dessert Soup

Taro and Black Glutinous Rice Dessert Soup

Ingredients:

  1. Black glutinous rice 1 ½ taels (60 g)
  2. Taro 2 ½ taels (100 g)
  3. Rock sugar 1 tael (40 g)
  4. Water 4 ½ cups (1080 ml)

Method:

  1. Rinse and soak the black glutinous rice for 2 hours.
  2. Boil 4 ½ cups of water and the black glutinous rice over a low heat for 30 minutes.
  3. Peel and dice the taro.
  4. Add in the taro and boil for about 30 minutes until the taro becomes soft.
  5. Season to taste with rock sugar.
