SFH on preventive measures against Ebola virus disease

Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after attending a public function this afternoon (August 2):

Reporter: (On the latest preventive measures against the Ebola virus disease)

Secretary for Food and Health: Starting from today, the Security Bureau and the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health will display on the main page of their websites a prominent message, advising Hong Kong citizens against unnecessary travels to the three countries affected by Ebola virus in West Africa. We would also issue an advice to all incoming travellers holding passports issued by the three affected countries. Basically, the advice would direct them to present themselves to the Port Health Office if they have developed the relevant symptoms upon arrival. If they have no symptom at that time, the advice would also let them know what to do if they develop symptoms subsequently.

(Please also refer to the Chinese portion of the transcript.)
